Alice Smeets is the founder of the Inner Shift Institute and a long-time practitioner in trauma-informed emotional work. Holding a masters degree from the London University of Arts, she is trained in IFS and somatic process work and completed her studies with David Bedrick at the Santa Fe Institute for Shame Based Studies.

For more than six years she guided legal psychedelic therapy retreats before shifting her focus toward writing, teaching, and developing educational resources. Her background includes extensive work with clients in altered states and in integration settings. She writes about shame, psychedelics, and the subconscious patterns that shape behavior. Her aim is to make inner work grounded, precise, and accessible.
